I’m not actually sure what this thing is yet! Over the past couple of years I’ve developed a Flash interface to help users collaborate on ideas, manage their thoughts, and share their progress socially or privately with a team. This “Board” was initially developed using AS2 and AMFPHP with a MySQL 6.0 database but has since been ported to AS3, Adobe AIR, and the iPad/Galaxy Tablet platforms as well as a standalone application. After users create an account they are able to create cards that stick to the magnetic board. These cards sit in sections assigned by the user. The users have the ability to attach files to the card, flag it, receive SMS updates from the card, Skype message updates from the card, and set a due date, time allotted, and assign it to another user.
Also, users can create and manage multiple boards, add users to boards, request to join others boards, and publish their boards changes through Twitter. Some of these features are currently inactive as this is a work in progress but each has been setup, tested, and worked with by dozens of users. This project really shows the ability of Flash to integrate with Data Services. This is a private project and I cannot give too much away.
